Tomorrow is our departure date. We'll be taking off at almost 10pm and flying all night to the Czech Republic, with a brief layover in Amsterdam. Beth Clark, NHC's Global Ministries' administrator, was able to snag us these awesome airline tickets to allow us to sleep through the night flight, and we're so grateful! (Now if only we can actually sleep). Once we land in Prague (on Wednesday, 4/29), we'll be scurrying to catch our train to Sumperk on time. It's a tight window, and it basically comes down to our luggage arriving safely and timely. A few things to you can be praying for in the next few days:
Health (we've all been surrounded by people with different illnesses lately, and Jennifer in particular has caught a cold)
Safety
Sleep on the plane
Families back home (Jeremy has his wife and kids at home; Daniel & Jennifer have their cat, Izzy)
Luggage to arrive all in one piece; for all luggage to arrive...and quickly so we can catch our train!
Effective communication and connections with people we come in contact with
Thanks for all your prayers and support! Keep watch for pictures and more blog updates!
Since our fall 2014 trip, Fusion leadership has been eager to keep connected with Kostel Jinak. The opportunity has come up for another small(er) team to travel to Sumperk, Czech Republic, to continue building relationships and envisioning with Kostel's leadership how our partnership should tangibly look. April 28-May 10, Daniel and Jennifer Stahl will be traveling with Jeremy Deck, NHC's Pastor of Student Ministries. They'll arrive in Sumperk on Wednesday, April 29. Jeremy will follow up with the relationships that he has invested in over the past man years. Jennifer was on the Fusion fall trip and is excited to introduce Daniel to all the people, sights and Czech culture. This past Sunday at New Hope Church, we focused on the global Church; Fusion commissioned Daniel and Jennifer for the upcoming trip.
It's just two weeks out from the team's departure; keep them in your prayers as they squeeze in last minute preparations and planning! Keep watch for more updates! Thanks for your continued support!
